Frequently asked questions
The trunk is made of plastic with a cast-in bark structure in grey-brown, so it doesn't look smooth or glossy. The branches have a flexible core and the small, round leaves are made of polyester in two shades of green, so the tiers don't look flat. Everything is colourfast for indoor use. You receive the tree in a 24 cm growing pot, ready to place in a decorative pot.
The tree is approximately 220 cm tall, measured from the bottom of the growing pot to the topmost leaves. If you place it in a decorative pot, the part of the pot that sticks out above the growing pot adds to that; with a tall pot this can make a difference of 10 to 20 cm. Keep this in mind with a low ceiling height or a spot under a sloped wall.
Yes. The branches are flexible, so after unpacking you gently spread them out until the horizontal layers are clear of each other again. If you want to make the tree narrower, for example in a corner, push the branches on the wall side slightly inward. If you pull them outward instead, the crown becomes wider and more open. You can adjust this as often as you like.
More than occasional dusting isn't needed. Run a feather duster or soft cloth over the branches layer by layer, from top to bottom. A hairdryer on the cold setting blows dust out of the denser spots near the trunk. For stubborn dirt, you can wipe the leaves with a slightly damp cloth. Water, trimming or repotting are never required.
The growing pot is 24 cm in diameter. Below the price you'll see which decorative pots from our collection fit exactly, and when ordering you can add a pot and filling material directly. A pot that's a bit heavier and more spacious than the growing pot gives a tree of this height stability and a solid base. A tall pot enhances the slender line of the trunk.
The tree is made for indoors: a tall living room, lobby, restaurant or office. It can also stand in a conservatory, veranda or covered entrance, as long as it stays dry and isn't in full sun all day. Rain and permanent direct sunlight will eventually cause the polyester to fade. Indoors, the colour stays like the photo for years.
The tree comes in a long box with the branches folded against the trunk. After unpacking, you spread out the layers and it stands like the photo within a few minutes. If you're not satisfied, you can return the artificial Bucida of 220 cm free of charge within 30 days.

Product description
An artificial Bucida of 220 cm, the largest size in our range: a tree on a trunk that reaches up to the ceiling of a tall living room, a void or a commercial space, without anyone ever needing to look after it.
Who is this artificial plant for?
For spaces with height: a void, a loft, a reception hall, a restaurant or a living room with a ceiling above 2.60 metres. At 220 cm, this artificial Bucida is no longer a plant but a tree, and it therefore needs a spot where it can stand freely. Think of the corner next to a large window, the middle of a lobby or the end of a long office corridor. In a standard room of 2.40 metres it's too tall; choose the 180 cm instead.
What makes this Bucida special?
- Seven layers of branches: the crown is built up from tiers that narrow towards the top, making the tree look slender despite its height.
- Trunk over a metre long: a long, bare trunk with a grey-brown bark structure, just like a mature Bucida buceras.
- Maintenance-free: no water, no hassle, looks beautiful for years.
- Small, round leaves in two shades: light green at the tips, darker towards the centre, giving the crown depth.
- Growing pot of 24 cm: designed for a heavy, spacious decorative pot that keeps the tree standing firmly.
Styling tip
Place the Bucida in a tall, heavy decorative pot of at least 45 cm high in concrete look or matte black and let it stand freely, not against a wall. Spotlights from above turn the layered crown into a shadow drawing on the floor. In a hospitality space, two specimens work well on either side of an entrance; at home, one tree next to a large glass facade is enough to emphasise the height of the space.
Quality you can see
The layers are individually attached to the trunk and vary in width and height, so no two tiers are alike. The leaves are small and round with a slight sheen and sit in rosettes at the branch tips. The trunk is made of plastic with cast-in bark and stays straight even at this height. You bend the branches into shape yourself; this way you can make the crown narrower for a corner or wider for a freestanding setup.
