The eighteen leaves are made of polyester with moulded-in veins and a matte finish, each on its own flexible stem. The base consists of three stems with visible knots and dark rings, placed side by side in different thicknesses. The plant comes in a 20 cm terracotta-coloured grow pot and can be placed in a decorative pot as it is.
Unfolded, the plant measures roughly 100 to 120 cm from leaf tip to leaf tip and about 70 cm deep. For a corner, fold the leaves on the wall side upward and spread the front wider; the depth then stays around 60 cm. Keep at least 80 cm clear along a walkway, otherwise you'll keep brushing against the leaves.
This one is 40 cm taller, has eighteen instead of fourteen leaves, and stands on three stems instead of short stubs. This gives it more of a mature plant's build, with leaves reaching above eye level and more deeply cut split leaves. The 100 cm is the compact version next to a sofa; this 140 cm defines the corner it's placed in.
Wipe the top of the large leaves once a month with a soft, slightly damp cloth, supporting them with your hand as you go. Run the tip of the cloth along the cuts and holes, as that's where most dust settles. Dry afterwards with a kitchen towel. Dust the stems with a feather duster.

Styling tip
Choose a decorative pot of around 30 cm in diameter in matte anthracite, concrete look or unglazed terracotta: at this size, a heavier pot carries the look better than a light basket. Place the plant freely in a corner and pull the lowest leaves forward so the base stays hidden. A spotlight from below lets the split leaves cast shadows on the wall in the evening that instantly make the room feel tropical.
Quality you can see
No two leaves are the same: the cuts vary in depth, the holes in number and position. The midrib is thick and runs all the way to the leaf tip, with fine side veins that let the leaf wave slightly instead of lying flat. The stems are individually inserted into the trunks and flexible at the base. The trunks have knots at uneven distances, so the base doesn't look machine-made.
