The stem is made of plastic with a molded bark structure in grayish brown, so it doesn't look smooth or glossy. The narrow, lance-shaped leaves and the deep pink flowers are made of polyester. The leaf has a midrib and a light sheen, just like an oleander from the Mediterranean. The colors are colorfast, so indoors they stay just like in the photo for years.
